I’ve seen the trailers, I’ve read the reviews, and I’ve heard from Fran that I have a new reason my hilarious book titled “Atention to Detail” isn’t going to get published. And that reason is the 7 hour nights I have ahead of me playing as the Philadelphia Flyers. But one of the trailers that I’ve seen has me irked, and it’s the one with this screen shot:
There is nothing that gets my goat to poop more than inaccurate rosters. Actually there is, and that’s when a player’s style isn’t right. Especially when they have their shin pad – sock – skate combination wrong. But the other thing that pisses me off is when the rosters are inaccurate. If I open up that game on Christmas morning, jam it into my XBox and see Joffrey Lupul and Andrew Alberts on the Flyers roster I’m going to chop my own head off.
EA pays so much attention to detail in so many aspects of the game, but if you saw Randy Jones fight as many times as I did in your copy of NHL ’09 you know there’s always going to be room for improvement.
So in short, this is going to be the best video game of all time after Top Gun for Nintendo even though I never got past the first level. And in other short, they better provide daily roster updates and make sure that everyone is wearing the correct numbers or be prepared to install a toilet in my living room for the amount of angry shitting I’ll be doing.
Oh yeah, I also love this very realistic Jeff Carter celebration:

Here’s the full Tough Guy Trailer featuring the Flyers Daniel Carcillo getting KO’d by that caveman Zach Stortini:
